- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and chosen username.
- Profile Information: We collect the information you choose to display on your public Connect Profile, such as your bio, links, and profile picture.
- Usage and Analytics Data: We collect information about how you use our Service. This includes analytics on your public Connect Profile, such as the number of views and clicks on each link. We may use third-party services like Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to help us understand this data.
- Device and Log Information: We collect standard information from your web browser, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and language preference. This information is used for security, analytics, and to improve our Service.
- Shop and Order Information: When you purchase physical products (such as The Signature Cuff) through our shop at connectbetter.pro/shop, we collect information needed to fulfill your order. This may include your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, order details, and payment confirmation. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card number on our servers.
- Hardware and Device Information: If you pair Connect Core™ NFC hardware to your account, we collect information needed to associate that device with your Connect Better profile (such as device identifiers and pairing status). Hardware is not pre-paired to your profile before you complete pairing in the Service.
- Pro Activation Codes: Certain hardware bundles include Connect Better Pro. An activation code is provided in your package. If you redeem a code, we process the code and related account information to grant access to Pro features in accordance with our Terms of Use.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
- Create and manage your account and your public Connect Profile.
- Communicate with you, including sending transactional emails (e.g., verification codes) and marketing communications (e.g., newsletters, feature updates).
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Service.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or illegal activities.
- Process, fulfill, and support hardware orders placed through our shop, including shipping, delivery updates, returns, and customer support.
- Administer promotional Pro access included with hardware purchases, including validating activation codes you redeem.
- Enable Connect Core pairing and related profile-sharing features after you activate your hardware.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third-party service providers who need access to such information to perform services for us, such as:
- Cloud Hosting Providers: To store your data (e.g., Supabase, AWS).
- Payment Processors: To handle payments for subscription services and shop orders (e.g., Stripe). Stripe's use of your information is also governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Fulfillment and Logistics Partners: To ship physical products you order, where applicable (such as carriers and fulfillment services we engage).
- Analytics Providers: To help us understand usage of our Service (e.g., Google Analytics)
4. Your Choices
- Profile Information: You can review and update your profile information at any time through your account dashboard.
- Marketing Communications: You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails or by adjusting the settings in your account dashboard. Please note that you cannot opt out of essential transactional emails related to your account security and billing.
5. Data Storage & Security
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information. Your information is stored on secure servers located in the United States. While we take significant steps to secure your data, no security system is impenetrable.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
